**Heritage Grand Perast**- Outdoor Ceremony Set Up

On Saturday 23rd May 2026, David and Lauren gathered their family and friends in the beautiful town of Perast for their dream wedding day. The celebrations began with welcome drinks of beer and prosecco under the parasol, accompanied by chilled music from the DJ.

At 3pm, the ceremony took place in the courtyard of the stunning Heritage Grand Perast hotel. After the “I dos”, guests enjoyed an Aperol Spritz cocktail hour, acoustic tunes and a playful playing‑cards guest book.

The wedding party then moved upstairs to take in the exquisite views from the hotel’s main balcony. The sun shone, the acoustic guitar played, and guests tucked into a Mediterranean‑inspired dinner. David and Lauren made their entrance to guests standing, napkins waving, and the upbeat energy of Dancing in the Moonlight. As the sun began to set, the dancefloor never emptied - the DJ kept the atmosphere electric with banger after banger. After 11pm, the music switched to the acoustic guitar and guests singing all the classics as loud as they could.

The couple, their families and their wedding party enjoyed a full weekend stay at the Heritage Grand Perast, making the celebration even more special.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was a beautiful blend of romantic, traditional elements with a modern twist. Instead of a standard script, the ceremony focused on David and Lauren’s story - how they met, the journey they’ve shared, and their hopes for the future as a family of four.

Since meeting as PE teachers during the pandemic, David and Lauren have experienced an incredible few years together: a new home, two beautiful boys, and countless holidays. They had created so many special memories that choosing which ones to include in their personalised wedding ceremony was no easy task.

The bride and her page boys walked down the aisle to the sweet sounds of the acoustic guitar, which continued to play softly throughout the ceremony. It created the perfect atmosphere for this heartfelt Montenegro wedding at the Heritage Grand Perast.

One of the standout moments of the day was the extra level of personalisation woven into the ceremony. Their young son took on the role of ring‑bearer - a moment that completely melted the guests. He performed his job perfectly, adding a heartfelt and memorable touch to this family‑focused wedding ceremony.

Another beautiful highlight was the second reading, inspired by a letter Lauren had written to her future self at just 12 years old. The words reflected her childhood dreams and the hopes she once held for her adult life. In a touching twist, the reading revealed how both Lauren and David have gone on to fulfil those early ambitions - building a loving home, raising two boys, and creating the life she once imagined. It was a deeply meaningful moment that made this Montenegro wedding ceremony feel truly unique.

To make the most of the wedding weekend, guests were welcomed with a thoughtfully planned three‑day itinerary in Montenegro. On the evening before the wedding, everyone gathered at Locanda Restaurant for fresh, stone‑baked pizzas and a generous open bar - the perfect way to refuel after travelling, especially for those arriving on the earlier flight from the UK. This relaxed welcome event created a warm atmosphere where friends and family could reconnect, unwind, and meet new faces ahead of the celebrations.

The day after the wedding, the newlyweds treated their guests to a full day of drinks and sunshine at Adriatika Beach Club, a stunning venue overlooking the Bay of Kotor. With panoramic coastal views and a laid‑back vibe, it was the ideal setting to reminisce about the big day - even for those feeling slightly delicate during the scenic boat ride over.

Handy Hints & Tips

Travelling to Perast is simple, with several international airports nearby:
- Tivat Airport - the closest option, just 20–30 minutes from Perast. Ideal for quick transfers.
- Dubrovnik Airport (Croatia) - a popular choice for UK travellers, around 1–1.5 hours away depending on border traffic.
- Podgorica Airport - Montenegro’s main airport, approximately 1.5–2 hours from Perast.
Parking in Perast is limited due to the town’s pedestrian‑friendly waterfront. Here’s what visitors need to know:
- Hotel parking zones- Many larger hotels offer parking just outside the town, roughly a 15‑minute walk away. Most provide buggy transfers into the centre.
- Off‑road parking- There are a few unofficial spaces, but these are limited and used at your own risk.
- Town restrictions - The waterfront is car‑free, so plan ahead during peak season.
